          Job Details: - Degree from accredited school of nursing.
          - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse-Neonatal Nurse Practition
          - Basic Life Support
          - Licensed in the State of Louisiana or eligible
          - Neonatal Advance Life Support
          - Registered Nurse
          - 2 -3 years experience required.

          The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is responsible for providing care in an advanced practice nursing role, under approved protocols, in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and NNP scope of practice. The NNP, under the direction of neonatology medical staff, will provide primary medical management in the NICU for infants, including assessment and management of patients, education, and research. The NNP will also attend and manage all high risk deliveries under the direction of neonatology medical staff.

          Current National Certification (NNP) as required under State Law Collaborative Practice Agreement and Prescriptive Authority as required under State Law Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from an accredited college or university is required.NNP experience required. (2009)
          Current Louisiana RN licensure is required on hire. CPR certification is required to be current by end of general hospital/nursing orientation. Other Required certifications must be completed as follows:

          >New graduates will have current department specific certification(s) by anniversary of hire date;

          >Experienced RNs who transfer or are newly hired will have current department specific certification(s) by 90 days following transfer/hire.
