             Speech and Language Pathologists serve in many roles within and across service delivery settings. At various time, the SLP will serve as a source of information, parent-trainer, parent-educator, researcher, family support professional, speech-language therapist, diagnostician, team participant, service coordinator, advisor, counselor, promoter of public awareness, and professional educator. Speech and Language Pathologists provides services in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Women’s & Children’s Hospital, the American Speech & Hearing Association, and the LA Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audio logy. Speech and language pathologists function under the direction of the Therapy Services Director. 
           
          Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the sate of LA; Current licensure by ASHA preferred; Current AHA CPR

                     Education: Master’s degree from an accredited speech pathology program.

                    Experience: Three years of clinical experience preferred; will accept CFY candidate

                     Special Qualifications: Ability to work in an interdisciplinary program.
